Softly spoken from the other room II

sculpture, 2025
medium transfer print on ceramics
240 x 150cm

Based on childhood recollections, the narrative unfolds within a fabricated house,
unknown passages and rooms within. The video work acts as a search, following the distortions and errors that appear as
memories fade, ultimately questioning the unreliable nature of memory itself.

The ceramic sculpture is a found photograph, set in the same place. The sculpture acts as a distortion, which is the act of
changing the original, a false layer growing within the truth. Yet within a memory, a distortion is not always clear. The
image can feel entirely true, even if it happened differently in reality. The found photograph that felt so convincing before,
turns out to be fabricated.
