Rosa Klijn
About
Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2001)
Visual artist, recently graduated from the Royal Academy Of Arts (KABK) in The Hague.
Within my work I research how memories come to exist, distort, and how they decay. Through
video installations, depicting slow landscapes, small movements, and little dialogue, I let the
surroundings guide the narrative. Within this method I aim to seek out traces of fictional narratives
in existing landscapes, gradually unfolding a storyline. By holding this tension between what is
remembered and what is imagined I hope to reconstruct initial interpretations. Using both the
imaginative aspect, and the fragility of memory as a way to ultimately preserve it.
